Who I work for
Metro World Child is a Christian, non-profit organization dedicated to serving inner city children throughout New York City and various urban centres around the world.
Metro World Child (www.metroworldchild.org) is currently the world’s largest sunday school serving more than 42,000 children with Sunday School services, child sponsorship, special programmes and personal home visits on a weekly basis.
What I do
I work in the borough of Staten island with Sidewalk Sunday School a mobile ministry that uses trucks rigged with portable stages to take Sunday School to children that are too far away to attend Sunday School in Brooklyn. We play games , sing songs and teach a Bible lesson. I am a site captain which means I visit a particular area of Staten island, building relationships with children and their families. I am also involved in indoor Sunday School and bus ministry (riding on or driving a bus to pick up kids to bring them to church.
Pray for Arlington Staten Island
Arlington is my sidewalk Sunday School site, the neighbourhood where I visit and do sidewalk. This is a really rough neighbourhood but the parents and kids are amazing.
Pray for protection for families and open hearts when they hear God’s word.
Pray for Metro World Child
Doors are opening throughout the world for Sunday Schools to be established and children and families to be reached.
Pray for Me.
I have been asking God to break my heart for the people I minister to and to show me how to truly love those around me. I want to see them as He does and to show them His love and grace through everything I do.
