Kevin and Jillian Connole

Working with WYCLIFFE Bible Translators NZ in Mara, TanzaniaJillian an dKevin

Jillian completed her BA with a Linguistics major after the children left home, eventually becoming the last person in the family to graduate! A short-term visit to a Translation Project in Bangladesh in 2015 re-ignited her passion to get involved with Bible Translation work. She is working as an intern in the Linguistics Department.

Kevin has been pastoring churches in NZ for 28 years. With his wide-ranging practical skill-base, he has been described more than once as “not your typical pastor”! Equally at home in mechanics’overalls, or with woodworking tools or a shovel in hand, he is using his practical skills to lend support as needed. He is Operations Manager and also Finance Officer.
Kevin and Jillian have 3 married children, and five much-loved grandsons. For relaxation, they enjoy bush walks, cycle touring and basic camping – their NZ holidays are often a blend of all three.

Update – Kevin and Jillian are now back in New Zealand due to the Covid-19 pandemic.  Their plans, at the moment, are uncertain as to returning to Tanzania.
